Marlene Koot
Lead vocals, percussion, harmonies
The very first solo Marlene ever sang on stage was at the age of 5, and she has graced the stage ever since. Experienced in theatres, church choirs, singing with the Choral Society as a soprano choir member and soloist, singing for special events & wedding soloist, to singing on the big stage on a cruise line, Marlene has developed a natural ability to sing various genres of music with ease. Her participation in competitions earned Marlene high rankings in Canada’s Open Country singing contest and Marlene was in the top ten in Toronto's CMT Karaoke Star.
Marlene has a stage presence that is incredibly personable. Her passion and skills are highly evident in every performance and her numerous years in the music industry has given her the ability to make everything sound impeccable.

Greigg Fraser
Guitar, lead vocals, harmonies, arrangements
Greigg's career has covered various aspects including performing, session work, music instruction, producing, arranging, television work and composing. With 3 solo c.d.'s to his credit, and various compilation releases, Greigg has had the opportunity to open for/perform with such artists as Rik Emmett (Triumph), Rush, Downchild Blues Band, Goddo, Cheryl Rae, Lisa Dal Bello, The Naughty Sweeties, Lawrence Gowan (Styx) and Kim Mitchell. His past projects have led to such accolades as the "Q107 Home Grown Award", FM 96 "On Track Award" and has received grants, awards and support from FACTOR and SOCAN.
Locally, he has been a featured soloist in Orchestra London’s "Jeans & Classics/Neck and Neck Concert Series" performing works by Steve Howe, Jeff Beck, Chet Atkins and Steve Vai as well as his own compositions.Greigg produced and hosted his own series for Rogers Cable TV for 3 seasons entitled "Guitar Talk" which has aired across Canada.

Dave Varga
Bass guitar, lead vocals, harmonies
Dave is originally from London, Ontario. His years of experience throughout the region has included recordings at Fanshawe College, EMAC, Owlsville & Groovey Tube studios. Dave has performed at various weddings, nightclubs, festivals & special functions all throughout Ontario, and has been fortunate to have shared stages with the likes of Prairie Oyster, The Byrds, The Good Brothers, Anne Lindsay, John P. Allen, Ronnie Prophet, The Bill Durst band, plus many other talented local musicians. His bass influences include Jack Bruce, Geddy Lee, John Paul Jones, Adam Clayton, Flea & Sheryl Crow. Dave's bass playing & experienced vocal talents are truly a great benefit to the Soul Medix sound!

Brian McHugh
Drums, percussion, vocals
After graduating from the University of Western Ontario and P.I.T. at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, Brian toured extensively throughout North America, Europe and the Caribbean. Over the years Brian has honed his live skills in numerous musical styles including rock, country, jazz, latin, and big band, in addition to numerous studio recording sessions. Brian has performed with the likes of Grant Smith, Alan Frew, members of Simply Red (solo project), Jaime Paul and many more.
